And so in order for an officer to conduct a traffic stop, they would have to have reasonable suspicion.
Um that means reasonable, articulable, and specific facts along with the inferences from those facts that a crime has or is about to be committed.
And so in order to determine whether or not there are facts that the curfew is about to be violated, the officers, for example, would have to see a juvenile out.
And try to make a
visible um assessment of their age and if that child were to appear to be less than for example if the cha age is changed to seventeen, if they appear to be a minor, that would be reasonable suspicion for an officer to pull that car over.

And is the smell of marijuana still probable cause for for uh even if it's legal C B D it's it's still probable cause to search the car?
Yes, the site and order of marijuana is still probable cause to search and there was new case law.
Forgive me for not recalling that name right now, but there was a case as recently as last winter that the North Carolina Court of Appeals affirmed that site or odor of marijuana is probable cause to search, even with the existent uh is existence, excuse me, of legal CBD and hemp products.
