but I wasn't prepared for the sheer volume of energy I was taking in.

Sunglasses, I realized, weren't just a fashion choice.

I could choose how much of myself to offer and how much to withhold.

I didn't have to meet every gaze, or engage with every person's energy.

This wasn't about hiding or being cold, it was about survival.

Without even knowing it, I had found a way to preserve my energy as a projector in a world that often demands too much.

With this newfound understanding, I began to honor my boundaries.

I no longer felt guilty for avoiding eye contact or for seeking refuge behind my sunglasses.

Instead, I saw these habits as a way of respecting my energy and protecting my gifts.

I also learned how to be intentional about when and where I connect with others.

In moments when I want to truly see someone, to share my insights, offer guidance, or simply be present, I allow myself to connect fully.

I might take off the sunglasses, look into their eyes, and let my aura do what it was designed to do—to focus, to guide, and to deeply connect.

But when I'm walking down a busy street, navigating a sea of auras, I give myself permission to disengage.

My gaze stays soft, my sunglasses stay on, and I move through the world in a way that feels safe and aligned with my design.

Understanding human design didn't just explain my behavior.

It gave me the power to accept it without judgment.

I no longer see my need for boundaries as a weakness or a flaw.

Instead, I recognize it as a strength, a way of preserving the clarity and focus that make me who I am.
