I don't, without knowing the exact situation, I can't give really specific advice, but those would be the kind of questions that I would work through if it were me.
Yeah, just something maybe to spend a bit more time reflecting on before you lend or accept the money, potentially there because there may be long-term repercussions for doing so or not doing so, which is worth thinking about.
Now, one of the other questions I wanted to ask you because i'm talking about different debts, maybe we have a whole list of debts.
And sometimes it's not an easy fix it's not going to happen it's not just a thousand dollars and that maybe can be paid back in a couple of years and it's.
turned into like a giant mountain of because personal loans can get pretty big.
How do you deal with, I don't know if you have clients that deal with this, but balancing still living life and learning and sort of spending time with friends and family and not just completely not spending any money for years, but still like balance living a life with paying back a huge amount of debt?
I think it's really important.
A lot of people reach the point where they're like, okay, I'm ready to do something about this.
And then they
They come to a financial counsellor or they do the numbers and they realise how long it's going to take and it can be really devastating.
And what I always try and say to clients is you didn't get into all of your debt in one day and you will not get out of it in one day.
You know, it's a slippery slope down to where you are and it's a hard climb up.
But, you know, we can have rests along the way and we can add snacks for the journey, you know, and it will be okay.
And so it's really around, there's a few different things.
So it depends what the debts are.
So if we were talking about a whole heap of unsecured debt, so for example, personal loans, credit cards, buy now, pay later and payday loans.
Again, starting with that table and coming to the order.
