There's so much in every person that we see.

And that's why we have no judgment is because we have seen everything from, you know, a person who just needs a five minute call to their electricity company to these clients where, you know, over a year, sometimes we have clients for three years and responsible lending cases.

And it's really just, you know, financial counsellors are pretty special people.

Yeah, I think so.

I just think that's why it's so important to be kind to everyone when you're talking about money and having those conversations because you just don't know someone's story.

Everyone's got stuff they're dealing with in the background.

And I think if we dealt with these conversations with less judgment and people would feel a lot less shame and would get the help earlier because I imagine you've seen circumstances where if someone had come to you maybe five years earlier, it would have been a lot easier to deal with something.

So I've had clients come to me and they've got a sheriff's notice to seize the property.

And at that point, the options are so limited.

You know, it's gone so far.

And if they had been able, if they had known that financial counsellors existed or they had been able to bite the bullet and just come and see us, we would have had so many more options available.

You know, there's been so many times that I've had to say to a client,

I can't save your house.

And that is a horrible thing to have to say to someone.

You know, you can imagine how it would be to be on the receiving end of that statement.

And, you know, that's the wins and the losses of the jobs, but of the job, sorry.

But if you can be brave and you can just think, oh my goodness, like this is going to suck and I'm going to hate it, but I'm going to do it anyway.
