You do not have to sit there and carry it on your own anymore.

God and Jesus died on that cross for you so that way you can let it go and you can be with him.

And you can let him help you carry those things.

All right, and then I want to end it with the man I think we...

Well, I think about a lot whenever old memories come up, which is Joseph, because Joseph's story, it's traumatic.

And God put it right in the middle of the Bible, I think, for purpose.

So Psalm 105, it says, God sent Joseph, sold as a slave, betrayed by his own brothers.

It says they bruised his feet.

They put shackles on him, the false accusations, the prison, years of it.

This is a man who was hurt by people who should have loved him and then hurt again and again and again.

And then in verse 21, God made him Lord of the house, ruler over everything.

The man in irons lifted to rule.

And here's what you can take away from that.

The road to that throne ran straight through the pit.

straight through prison.

And God was still with Joseph in every second of it.

He didn't rescue Joseph instead of letting him take the hard road.

He walked with him through it and he never once let him go in the dark.

So whenever your past comes roaring back and when those flashbacks hit and that shame says that this is who you are and way to go, you did it again.

Oh, you're never going to change.
