And God never once looked at you and seen only that spiral.
He did see the wounds underneath and he comes for the wounded and he loves you and he's still there and he was there with you through it all.
So let's really talk about how that's the enemy's favorite tactic.
The closer you get to God,
The harder the enemy is going to try to fight to drag up your past.
I know you've noticed it because I've noticed it because I'll be having like the greatest time just sitting there and all of a sudden I'm like, oh my God, I did that.
I did that.
Oh my gosh, God, I've done that.
And especially when you actually start changing and your mind just gets loud.
I have this saying that my brain is really mean to me.
Because it feels like it.
It feels like it's really mean and it's really loud.
And all those memories can come flooding back of everything you ever did and things maybe you even forgot about or maybe everything that was done to you.
And it's like the second you turn towards the light, something wants to bury you right back into the darkness.
It's not random that the enemy does that.
Revelation calls the enemy the accuser, the one who stands there day and night pointing at God's people, listing their sins.
So while God has a book of life, the enemy, the devil, old boy himself has a list of our sins.
That's his whole job.
He's not very creative.
He just reminds you of your past.
