Um so I uh initially they said four weeks.
I I think it's uh been two two or three, something like that.
So um I I think he's on track right now uh to come back when when they thought he would, which is gonna be a big deal obviously, because while Nico Horner is out there making some spectacular plays at shortstop, um Danzi Swanson is just elite, elite, elite defensively.
And I remember back to the wild card series last year when
Um Mike Schultz, who was the Padres manager at the time, said that Dansby almost single handedly beat them on defense.
So um w that is no small thing.
Obviously everybody looks at the hitting numbers, but defense is so, so important.
It's something the Cubs do exceptionally well, better than any other team in baseball.
And when you've got a defensive weapon like Dansby Swanson, um it makes a difference in a playoff series.
It's a great question, right?
I mean, how much ink have we used on this guy already?
And and and uh you know, I think Craig said it yesterday.
He was kind of asked the same question, like have you run out of things to say about him?
And I think his response was something along the lines of like, Well, you're the writers, you get that's your job, you guys figure that out.
And uh I think we were asking because we're we're running out of stuff to say.
Uh but yeah, I mean the guy's just had an absolutely remarkable season.
It's something that um a lot of
fans have never seen before uh in the combination of what he can do.
He's not only uh a guy who is uh on the verge of becoming what the tenth cub ever to have a forty homer season, but he's the best defensive player in baseball.
