So I'll start with the the initial one.
I wrote about what I call fiduciary AI.
I simply do not think that
that you can have any modern concept of civil rights in this world.
In a world where people do not have AI that acts explicitly in their self interest.
It would be like having a lawyer that worked for the government.
or having a doctor that worked for the drug company.
Again, I don't have to assume they're bad people to think there will be times when their self-interest and mine conflict and I can't trust them anymore.
Which is why we have laws that require lawyers and doctors to act as fiduciaries, or specialized financial advisors to act as fiduciaries.
They're not perfect, and some many most of those
our financial relationships.
We don't have to expect us out of goodness of people's hearts.
We need that in AI.
We need
AI tutors.
Whose
Legal responsibility is to act in the best interest of the students, which would include not simply giving them the answer, for example.
