But this is the thing that I want to take further and all of the panels.
And I hate that Garrison had to leave because Garrison made a very important point.
People should exactly be outraged about this.
But there were other things, policy type things that should have drawn the most outrage.
Now, I was looking at the numbers the other day.
Black women, by way of example, make up 6% of America's workforce.
We're double that representation with the federal government.
So when the federal government shut down the first time, Don, as you know, Black women were disproportionately impacted, making up well over 30%.
of those who were laid off.
And so Garrison was making some really important points about the types of policies that have happened heretofore that have had a crueler impact, a more material impact on the Black community than even this.
This is a psychological impact.
And I also think that this is a reminder because sometimes that we get a little seduced, but we think we've made it when we are constantly, especially black people are constantly reminded that as far as we have come and we've come a mighty long way, but we've had to fight for every inch, every single inch of progress.
People have given up blood, sweat and tears for every inch of progress.
Nothing was ever given to us.
So as far as we have come, there are still so many, many, many more miles to go.
This is just yet a reminder and the complicitness of the Democratic Party.
You know what?
President Donald J. Trump is indeed responsible for his actions, his reactions, his lack of action, his hatred, the way that he is using power.
But Don, let me tell you something.
These neoliberal Democrats are responsible for President Donald J. Trump getting another term.
