And that is an excellent point.
And I've said this in the past too, but it bears repeating.
It's like our audio systems, no matter how good they are,
can only do damage to the signal.
Yeah.
Right.
Like they, like too, it's too bad that we can't hear digital and just put it straight into our brain.
Right.
And not have to mess with all of the other stuff because, um, from the instant, um,
that stylus starts dragging across the grooves of a record or those ones and zeros get picked up by the laser and start moving through wires in your, your transport or, you know, your CD transport or whatever the case may be.
Yeah.
You're starting to lose informational integrity at some point.
Now with digital, I can already hear some of the, the pushback on this.
Like,
The USB protocol in particular with digital transmission is error corrected, right?
It uses checksums and various things there to make sure that the ones and zeros at either end of the USB connection are identical.
And so you're not losing digital data per se between your computer and your DAC so much as you're just getting the noise that's hitchhiking along with it.
And the error correction doesn't even look at the noise because it doesn't care about the noise.
It only cares about the ones and the zeros.
And if a bit drops or whatever, the error correction is like, oh, that should have been a one.
