But it was interesting to know how really that front six, it was Macquarie and McElroy who had blossomed into real stalwart figures around which their confidence had built.

McIlroy with the car crash and the subsequent recovery and the confidence to kind of assume the responsibility, the creative responsibility.
McIlroy coming in with a massive price tag over his head and not really being a 30-goal season striker, which everyone was hoping for.
But now they were both growing in confidence and they were the staples in that team.
Funnily enough, McIlroy at the start of the season, he's playing from the left again.
And you've got Macari playing in the front.
Over time, both would move into the middle of the park and become the heartbeat at the side.
but it shows their importance in sort of bringing United back into the top flight and how critical they were in terms of the... Well, leading the attack, really, for United's attacking play in this style.
