But ultimately, what I've learned is that we are powerless over other people, places or things.
The only thing we have power over is ourselves.
So by holding the mirror to ourselves first and checking in with the very basics, how was my sleep last night?
Did I get to bed at a reasonable hour?
Was I watching lots of things that were disturbing my melatonin levels?
Was I watching stimulating, frightening things on TV?
You know, did I relax, have a bath?
You know, do you keep your phone off, turned off until after you've written your journal and had your breakfast?
Or do you feel this need to turn on your phone and be stimulated and and feel yourself getting anxious and cortisol running through your body?
There's so much pressure on everyone these days.
But with your body, you can't afford to have that happening to your body.
You need to learn how to protect it.
Have you booked in that essential dentist appointment, the hairdresser?
Have you booked in a counsellor that is kind and helping you move through any past trauma?
You know, have you been wanting to do this for weeks and just forgot to do it?
