I was on international duty.

So I actually had to watch from afar.

So like what she was saying, you know, no one, no, I didn't get a call or anything to kind of give me any indication.

I'm on the other side of the world.

Obviously, I can see what's happening at Leicester, you know, with Pearson going.

And then, obviously, you're thinking, right, who's coming in?

What's going to happen?

But I didn't get, like, a call or indication, like, Wes, just letting you know, we're bringing this guy in.

I'm going to announce it at this time.

I think everyone was kept in the dark to a certain degree.

So when I saw that happen, I was like, oh, that's interesting because I knew what Claudio had done in the past.

I wasn't sure about his kind of capabilities from this point on.

I wasn't there in pre-season, so I wasn't even sure if I was going to return and be playing.

So there was a lot of unknowns, to be fair.

And my summer camp literally lasted to the week before the season started.

So I think I landed back in the country on the Tuesday and

trained on a Thursday and credit to Claudio he said Wes I'm going to put you straight in for the game on the Saturday so I was like fantastic you know Alicia has that belief and faith in me.

Wes, did he enjoy the fame?

Definitely grew into enjoying it.
