we found out he was living in the condo just a few feet from ours with these two men who were bizarre.
They were really terrible men.
And I called our
landlord, the managing agent, to say that these two men apparently were living with this boy.
And he looked only to be about 11.
And it seemed like something was wrong to me.
And a couple of days later, he called me back and he said, Mr. Strieber, that apartment is empty.
It's owned by a man in Houston who uses it when he comes up to San Antonio.
But nobody's living there.
And I said, well, I'm sorry.
There are three people living there.
Oh, and the boy, it was just he was a very, very bizarre thing.
And they sent the sheriffs out and put on an eviction notice.
And by this time, everybody in the condo complex was aware of this, these strange people who were there and that they were they were squatters.
But no one was aware of my knowledge of the boy and the reality of the boy.
And the two men go around in the apartment complex trying to sell the man's furniture, the furniture of the owner of the condo when we all knew perfectly well that that was not theirs to sell.
So of course no one would buy it.
And finally they left.
And they're hybrids.
