So to me, this offseason, it's either make an aggressive move to find another proven center or have a long, hard conversation about potentially having to trade Dylan Larkin.
Otherwise, you're kind of wasting everyone's time.
Larkin's maybe most of all.
Yeah, it's Sider.
I think Marith Sider has a legitimate case.
to win the Norris.
I don't think he will.
I think, for my opinion, Zach Wierenski is most deserving this year, and that award has probably become just a placeholder for the highest scoring defenseman, but the matchups that Sider took on all season long, the offense that he still produced, 60-plus points,
The durability, the physicality, all of it.
He, to me, is his team's best player.
He probably was Larkin a couple years ago, but his trajectory has stalled.
Again, that's okay if you can go find another center to help him out.
I think part of the reason that Larkin thrives on the international stage is that he...
He's a second or third line center for Team USA behind Austin Matthews, behind Jack Eichel.
And all of a sudden, he's playing in maybe more sheltered minutes.
He's getting more favorable matchups.
And the product is a much better looking player.
And in Detroit, it's just so much different.
And the conversation we're having now is honestly one that the fans have had here for years.
four or five years.
