Um, but if it's chronic.
There's obviously underlying psychological
underpinnings there.
Right now, lying most of the time is something for attention.
Right?
Where a parent is kind of there might be a lack of um you know quality time or something that the child is making up lies.
Or it can be purely experimentation.
Right?
The ego during that phase, that lying phase, is the ego kind of really coming
online saying, Hey, I'm gonna play with reality and see what sticks.
Um and that's where I see kind of, you know, possibly a reward punishment system could be useful to steer from right to steer towards right from wrong.
Um yeah.
It's tricky because I I I didn't have that issue with my daughter.
Um, when she was very young, there were many things that I kept telling her all the time, and I would tell her, like, I I will never lie to you.
Um, which I absolutely my integrity on that.
I try to live by that.
And I also told her very young two, three, four, five.
Babe, I will never lie to you, but I expect that you will never lie to me.
And I kept telling her things like that and
Lying is just not an issue in our relationship.
