Now Limerick collected their sixth All Ireland hurling title since twenty eighteen, so six and nine this season, thirteen overall for the county.

It has been an incredible period of success for them.

Uh but the more traditional counties, they've not been going all that well over the last while realistically, including Kilkenny, who haven't won the Lee McCarthy in over ten years now at this point.

Galway, of course, won it in twenty seventeen.

We're back to the final this year.

Cork were on this twenty year plus issue at the moment.

Timberry didn't go back to back this season but have won titles last year and in 2019.

But the rest of the chasing pack also finding it very, very difficult to keep in touch, particularly with Leinster, because outside of Kilkenny, you have to go back to Offley's win against Kilkenny in nineteen ninety-eight for the last time a team from Leinster lifted the Lean McCarthy Cup.
