You know, like Limerick, incredible this season.
I think Galway, who of course you're covering extensively at the moment, uh did very well to get to a All Ireland final and got themselves a Leinster this season.
But are we getting to the point where there's now such a considerable gap that that gap is almost concerning?
Yeah, no, I look I agree with you on that.
I think in fairness the Leinster Championship this year was very exciting.
Like you've offly coming out, Kilkenny not getting through Dublin trying to win a Leinster Championship goalway, ultimately coming out on top, it beats like the fact that Kilkenny had been dominating since the year two thousand and when it comes to the province.
Like Seamus, just to put that um suggestion from John to you, and again, I think that Munster and understandably all the words from their CEO um from I think the words coming out of the uh Munster County.
meeting that took place in June was very much hands off the Munster Championship.
You might want to change things round, but we like the round robin at the moment and we want to continue it.
Um could you for see could you foresee a possibility where eventually the Munster Championship was to go back to knockout along with Leinster and something like John has proposed could come through?
Yeah.
What do you reckon, James?
I mean, talking to some of the managers in Leinster, they will say that one of the difficulties that they're probably not gonna exposure to playing against the Munster teams often enough and that's an issue in and of itself.
Yeah, so that's one of the things as well, John, from speaking to Willie Mar, he has about like fifteen different jobs going on at the moment, whereby he's trying to get the middle teams up to a level to try and compete with those who are at the top, trying to get those teams up to compete with the top three or four, and at the same time a completely different challenge when it comes to trying to grow the game in non traditional areas.
Like, unlike the Football Review Committee where at least everyone has an established um probably reasonable quality intercounty team, Willie
Mar has such a wide berth of work that he has to do there.
Maybe they're gonna argue as well that when it's not a group stage, they might win when it comes to knockout giving their last run.
