I didn't quite hear him because I was waiting for Murph's answer near Scale saying he should go to a cave.
Better off indeed.
It was only when someone texted me about it during the week.
All good fun indeed.
But yeah, I genuinely think next year, why not?
And I mean, like when the teams get knocked out, like if you want to play the Ulster Championship after the McDonagh finishes, why not?
Just have three teams, have a draw, semi-final, team in a final, and play it.
Yeah, I think that's the way the senior camogie, again, someone might correct me here, but I think that's how, and I do appreciate that they're decoupled, the championships in the camogie, both the provincial and the All-Ireland series.
But similarly, why not just decouple it and have an Ulster championship that's worthwhile having with three teams that are now at the same level?
Have them play off against each other, semi-final, final, play it over the course of three weeks, after the championship's finished, job done.
Yeah.
yeah unless there's a reason that the clubs have to be back a bit earlier than that I will appreciate that I haven't thought all this out but I think there's definitely a case for it that you would have a space afterwards because look the space is not there between the league and the championship so right now McDonagh Cup comes around way too quick afterwards it'd have to be the other side but again I don't see any reason why you couldn't have it revive it bring it back
have your own provincial championship back and i think that's something that the ga should aspire to happening as well i thought was an awful shame that the ultra championship actually was allowed to kind of wither away and die in the vine it should always have been kept so hopefully it's an argument for that um okay so they're up and as murph mentioned as well earlier on today as part of the double header at crow park it was the lunchtime game today uh longford won against leitrim by 118 to 113 in the laurie mara cup final uh reuben murray the longford captain was the hero for them got the goal in the 52nd minute he scored one three
In all, as Longford rallied in the second half, they were down by a couple of points at half-time against Leitrim, but Longford winning out in the end, 1-18 to one goal in 13.
And they had won this competition just a few years ago as well, so this is, I think, the second time in four seasons?
It's the third time they've won it, sorry.
I'm pretty sure, yeah.
It is actually, yeah, 2014.
Cork were going to win the All-Ireland every year.
Luke Littler was getting interviewed during the week, right?
