I can remember being there in May and Shamrock Rovers beating Shelburne and Talca and everyone said, that's it now.
The league's done.
It's in May.
I do think we'll have more of a title race.
I think Derry are the ones.
I really think this is the year.
If Derry are going to do it, it is this season.
Yeah, obviously a new manager coming in the door as well with Sean Russell who's come from Treaty, who actually played for Shells about 10, 12 years ago.
There is that sense of, you know, when you think of the Women's Premier Division in this country, you do pay that loan and Shelburne, kind of on a level above everyone else, and Shelburne are aching to get back there.
Like,
it's 2022 since they last won the Premier Division when it was still the National League and like that is the mark you can hear it there like that is where they need to get to and they need to challenge back now Athlone have fully taken the crown deservedly have stepped ahead and that is the challenge now for Shelburne is to get back alongside them Yeah I think if they are going to win still having some experienced heads around like Parle will actually help a lot with those new signings to see if things glue together
I love that.
I love that.
I love that mindset.
We know Shelburne are going to be that good that we have to go unbeaten.
I love that.
And not just Elburn.
The lead was really close towards the end of last season and I'm really, really looking forward to when that kicks back up.
very very active Will and each kind of day that goes by I log on to social media and you see there even has another signing Dos Santos I think earlier this week Dos Santos who is Portuguese he was with Ottawa was the last club he was with in Canada but some of the incomings alongside him James Clarke has come up the road from Bohemians an unbelievable signing Josh Thomas Welsh from the 21 International was on loan at Drogheda from Swansea last season
Very, very good whenever he played.
