But you'd still think that the Irish team should have stopped maybe one or two of them.
They could easily have been done that with a better tackle or just better numbering up.
And I think the communication from the outside just clearly wasn't there.
For me, that was really, really obvious.
The outside and the middle of your defensive line should be controlling the tempo and deciding what the tempo is because they have the most time to get set, but they can see how you're numbered up.
And that is essential.
So I think the team will get that over the next couple of weeks, hopefully.
It looked like there was a lot of guys in the interior making the decisions.
That's not how a really great defence should operate.
People with the time and the people who can see more of the pitch, they should be dictating what happens defensively.
And then obviously the line-out was a bit of a struggle at times as well.
And those two areas, I think, compounded to make things very, very difficult.
They made it difficult for themselves in that first half.
But what I loved, and I will finish with a positive here,
the phase of play and the bravery just before halftime was a proper marker.
And I thought it was a real turning point in the game.
The guys I thought were, I thought they were egging it up a little bit too much in the, in the, um,
in the commentary at halftime.
But it turned out they were completely right.
I wasn't sure it was going to have that much of a bearing.
