Thank you.
And Stephanie, Kira in Northampton said, I underlined so many passages in this book because the writing was so beautiful.
And then Dylan in Bedford said, there is such ingenuity and considered weight to each word, especially in her descriptions.
Finding the right word is, of course, the writer's craft.
But from the bookseller reactions, it seems like this is something that you obviously really focused on.
And I just sort of wondered if it's true that that's the case and how much you will revise the writing until it is exactly right.
so but then what's bad is that I'll come up with something good and try and remember it and forget so actually like my my book is just the palimpsest of like the 10% of stuff that I remember that's so interesting so this is the writing is happening literally in your head and then you just have to hope that you can remember it when you come to sit down and write it someday somebody will probably come up with some kind of terrifying technological thing that will allow those thoughts to just simply be written down but
Everyone's just like, no, get out of my head.
Fantastic.
Well, listen, that was really, really interesting to hear from you all about your books and to find these ways in which three very, very different books have things that link them together.
Writing is hard.
Getting published is hard.
You've all done it.
And not only have you written that first book, but our booksellers who really know their stuff have picked them out as being the most exciting and interesting books that they've read over the last year.
Therefore, I wondered if you had any advice that you would like to share with people who are thinking about writing something or have written something and got stuck or have got something sitting in a drawer other than maybe don't do all the writing in your head and make sure you make some notes.
But yes, do you have any advice to share?
I will come to you first, Tara, because you're at the top of my screen.
Love that.
Chi-Young, what advice do you have for anybody writers out there?
Thank you, Jiang.
