I mean, I think in the first round, uh,

Yeah, I mean, in the first round, I kind of like what Anaheim did, in a sense.

I mean, I think they're swinging really, really big on just raw skill and raw upside, and it could work.

It may not work, but in my opinion, getting Preston at 50 is way, way, way, way, way too late.

So adding everybody that they got in aggregate, I think, is a really, really good pickup.

And, I mean, through the whole draft, Toronto, I think, did quite well.

And, I mean, even Vancouver.

I think Vancouver made some really, really good picks here and there as well.

Yeah, so I was a little lower on Melhotra than most people, but I see the appeal.

I get it.

I think that he is, you know, in a year that's a little bit soft for centers, I think he does bring some projectable abilities and some really interesting sort of a framework of the way that he plays.

So I think in, you know, maybe not

two, three years, but maybe five years, six years, you see a guy who just keeps getting better and better and better and better.

And maybe you end up, in my views, a guy in a similar-ish role to what Vancouver had in a Bo Horvat type guy, you know, where there's a bit of energy on both sides of the puck and some good overall, like you can see why the team gravitates around a guy like that.

And I could see maybe that kind of a trajectory with him, even if he isn't the guy that I would have picked at three.

But I mean, they got two guys that I had ranked in the lottery, right?

I mean, I love Adam Novotny.

I think

he's just an injection of just pure skill but also like he's more tenacious I think than people give him credit for he's more physical especially down the stretch of this year like it really seemed like the world juniors kind of snapped him out of a little bit of a funk or whatever you want to call it because he had a really rough start to the year and I think that might be a big reason he was available when they took him at 24 but I know they're excited about getting a guy like that at 24 and I'm excited as well he was a really interesting pickup so

Getting two guys I had in my lottery range for a team that picked in the early and late first, I think it all sort of comes out in the wash, and it could trend very positively for Vancouver, I'd say.
