I mean, it looked more like the Adam Novotny I remember from the prior year.

I mean, I think watching him in Czechia when he was 16, 17 years old, you saw the speed in his game, and I think you saw the sort of confidence and the skill level that was there, but I think it just really seemed like he, in the early part of the year, was trying to get away on a lot of that skill and a lot of that sort of, I'm faster than guys, and I could just sort of

you know, bull, bull my way through this entire team and try to do everything myself.

And that just doesn't really work even in the OHL sometimes.

And so he really sort of flipped things around a little bit more and became a lot more engaged, I'd say off the puck and a lot more physical and

making quicker thoughts and moving the puck quickly.

And so, you know, the offensive numbers were solid to start the year, but they were very shot heavy.

And I think they got a little more balanced towards the end of the year.

But what really changed was off the puck, his forechecking ability, the physical play that he had.

I mean, that was an added dimension that I don't remember from prior years, except it was always sort of percolating maybe under the surface a little bit.

So if he can keep on developing that and holding onto that and

Being more of maybe that like complimentary dual threat sort of jack of all trades power winger that can finish.

Like, I think there's a really bright future for Novotny and especially for a late first round pick.

I think he's got the physical tools to project in some way.

And that's why I had him where I did, which was 11 on my list.

Yeah, I mean, I had Rogowski a little lower than this, but at this point in the draft, there weren't a whole lot of guys where I would be really pounding the table there.

And I think you could make the argument that Brooks Rogowski was a good option for Vancouver there.

I think, you know, a lot of people, I'm sure, were clamoring for an Xavier Villeneuve who went to pick Wader.

But, you know, when you've got Zeeb Bouyam on the team already, I can see how that might be a bit of a tougher sell and there may be some injury concerns there.
