I mean, he's a really interesting mystery box and generally I'm very anti mystery box players like if I don't really know what I'm getting in a player long term, or at least I don't think I know it's a little bit tricky for me, but I think you've got a really interesting framework.

thing about him that I really like is I think he's really developed a playmaker's mind like he really sees the ice I think pretty well and I think on Oshawa he just had very little to sort of work with when he was on the ice and I think he did have some holes in his game I mean I think if you're expecting him to be you know a physical monster up and down the ice there that kind of came and went it's not really I don't think the natural way he plays but if he can sort of work on

of puck protection and developing his skill level and maybe being a bit more of an aggressive guy with the puck, especially he can be a little perimeter oriented and maybe a little bit too passive, but yeah,

The fundamentals are interesting.

He's huge, but the skill is pretty impressive.

And I think the thing that gave me a lot of confidence and should give the Canucks a lot of confidence is that there's a level of awareness to his game and just sort of ability to map the ice and place passes really well, which when you're that big, that's a huge plus and can take you a long way.

I think there was a lot of them.

I think there was a lot of guys that there was definitely high-end skill.

There's definitely impressive little bits and pieces to their game.

They might be especially competitive, or they might be especially maybe physical or hard on the forecheck, or they might just be really, really, really skilled.

And you're just kind of hoping and betting that those things will develop.

it's not maybe the best analysis, but I always sort of have this like feeling in my head where I'm going, all right, at what point on my list or whatever, am I looking at a player?

I'm going, I have a lot of confidence in this guy.

And then beyond that, it's like, I just really like watching them play.

I really think there's something there and it's just a long-term thing.

And there was a lot of those, like a lot more of those this year where I think it's stretched well into the second round.
