I mean, he's not a guy in my first round at the end of the year.
He's just not my type.
You know, when you do something like this, I don't I think that so much about the sport comes down to your strategy.
Can you articulate what your strategy is and can you stick to it?
I mean, look at the Carolina Hurricanes, right?
Like they have a very defined, clear style of play and style of management and they've stuck to it forever.
And I think that that's the way to do it.
It doesn't matter exactly what your strategy might be.
And so I have my own idea of how I would want to construct a lineup or tactically deploy a team.
But with Dax and Rudolph, I don't know what I would do with him.
I just I see him defend and I see him with his knees locked most of the game.
I see him in a guy that if he if he's got the situation in front of him, that it can work like at the offensive blue line, for example.
I think there is a lot of interesting tools there.
But I've always had a lot of doubts about defensemen where I go, OK, OK.
It's not great unless they're in the offensive zone, because to me, it's like a defenseman has to be really good at not only being good in the offensive zone, but getting it there.
You can't generate offense if you can't get the puck there.
And with Rudolph, I just find that the defensive game is, you know, the way that people have told me.
in the past over the years, like, well, if you just reprogram how he approaches the game, if you can just get him to, to be more engaged and get them to be a little bit, you know, whatever I go, okay, fair enough.
Like I can't disagree with that, but I don't like then turning around and saying that's a top 15, top 10 pick.
