There's certainly become a taboo in discussing it on air that it's like a no-go zone, which I don't think off-air people are chatting about it all the time.

I actually think it's out of step with society.

It's almost become too far the other way that it's like we can't almost mention it on air for fear of one person emailing in, whereas in reality people talk about odds all the time on certain bets.

And it's like everything.

I think the behavior of certain betting companies has become inextricably linked with just the practice of gambling, no matter how big or small the amount.

And they probably should be decoupled to some degree because having small bets on sporting events is good fun and like isn't ruinous.

But obviously there's awful stories and there's awful practices going on in the industry as well that kind of almost cloud the judgment for everything else I think of it.

But is the responsibility not to talk about odds at all?

Is that what it should be?

Because it's funny, Ireland, there's no doubt from, I like to listen to a lot of stuff from America, watch a lot of sport from New Zealand, Australia.

we are market leaders in terms of the stuff you mentioned there, like censoring, gambling.

Like, I was watching Super Rugby last weekend and it's like, we're going down to Will on the touchline before the second half and I'm like, I have the odds in front of me and I'm like, you know, Sonny Bill Williams, Alex Troy, you know, whatever.

Like, he's going through the odds on air.

America, obviously, it's only just getting this legal step

if you listen to the indoor sport equivalent in America, you'd be probably flabbergasted with how it's like 90% gambling talk.

Nothing can be actually discussed without the prism of betting and gambling.

And that actually is definitely off-putting.

You're like, are you not going to talk about the actual match here?

It's all about like the handicap and the first this and the first that.
