And for every 100 of those people that I talk to, I'm really lucky if I convince one.

Those are daunting odds, okay?

Now, like my good friend, John Bowman, the president of the St.

Louis County NAACP says, you don't meet Nazis and racists halfway, right?

But you do try to meet the people that you can meet out there on policy issues to get them to vote the right way.

And I choose to do the same thing with my faith.

I know for a fact that the people that believe all those horrific things that you guys have been talking about, I know that that's a bastardization of my faith.

And guess what?

Catholic Church and the Protestant Church have been bastardizing the faith for hundreds of years.

But the faith becomes what we as Christians allow it to become.

And all these horrible things that we glommed onto and that we allowed to become part of our faith and that we allowed to become the tenants of our faith, that's on us.

That's not on anybody else.

Jolly or anybody else, they've got every right to call out the bullshit when they see it and they need to.

My disappointment is that we don't have more Christians like me doing it.

And that's why I'm trying to fight this fight as well as to get other Christians to stand up and say, what these guys are telling you is not an attack on your faith.

It's a plea or request for you to look inward and understand that how much better could this faith be and what it costs for good could it be if it was built on these tenets of altruism and equality and love and the things that we go out every day and claim to be that we are not.

it's going to take multiple different types of voices to the point that everybody just made here to get people to come around to our way of thinking and listen i am not a pollyanna i know that there are a lot of people on our side of the fence that look at me and they think i'm milk toast they don't think i go far enough they don't think i push hard enough i get that i see the comments i have people that message me at the same time and this won't shock jolly i have people that are just like man he comes on too strong and i'm like the case that i try to make to everybody is

I have watched Jolly do his thing, and I have seen him change the minds of some of the most ardent people that disagree with him out there with his approach.

And I do the same thing, and you guys do as well.

So I just wanna encourage everybody, let us take our case to the people the way we feel like it needs to be taken to the people.
