And what they did is they went and they looked at the top 400 agricultural dependent counties in the United States.

And whatever the voting percentage was there, they applied it to all of rural America.

Now, that would be like going and looking at, you know, the top 400 richest counties in the United States and seeing how white women voted and then applying that standard to every white woman in the country.

We have over 3,400 counties with a rural component in this country.

And if you look at it as a whole, rural America voted for Trump by about 58%.

Now, that's still high, but it's not much higher than college graduates, married couples and white men.

And there's no other group in this country where we say everybody ought to be written off because a small percentage or a large percentage voted for Donald Trump.

I've told you before, Don, Will Rogers said, how do rural people learn?

They learn by reading.

They learn by observation.

And then some of them just have to pee on the electric fence for themselves.

And that's what's happening right now.

They're feeling the pain and they're looking around for other options and other opportunities.

And we just had a poll that came out a couple of days ago that said that Donald Trump has lost nine percent of his support in rural America.

And it's double digit among independents.

Now, we can handle that, like John said, in two different ways.

We can say too bad, so sad, you're getting what you deserve.

Or we can look at it like we should look at it, which is these are folks that are open to changing their mind.

They didn't vote for Donald Trump for nefarious reasons, but because they thought he was screaming the loudest and he was going to fix these problems.

Now that they're figuring out he isn't, what are we going to do to get them to come over to our side and start voting the right way?
