Well, I c I share Lori's concerns and I think they're very good ones, but I think this is an area where we have really strong competing considerations.
And striking the right balance is quite hard.
The the competing considerations I see is the president being such an important figure in our government.
Again, I I do think the legitimacy of being the only
national election we have being the president is very important.
And I don't think it's healthy for the day to day functioning of our government for the president to be worried about getting prosecuted.
The President's got plenty to worry about.
And so if you
leave open, and this could go in any direction, but if you leave open too much room and you don't have immunity, then the the president's gonna one little voice in the president's head when he's trying and let's picture not Donald Trump, but somebody with great character
and and and really strong morals as commander in chief.
Some little voice in his head if we don't strike the right balance on immunity and give him give he or she enough immunity as president, is gonna think, well, maybe some Republican prosecutor in Louisiana is gonna think this missile s missile strike that I'm ordering is a war crime and somehow tie it into a domestic
prosecution or some version of that.
I don't think that's healthy.
I don't think that's good.
So I think granting robust but not overly broad immunity is actually important.
Uh I agree.
I think the arguments that litigators make, I'm a active practicing litigator and and the arguments made in in litigation can be really absurd.
And if if that great example, Lori, that you just gave was enshrined in a Supreme Court decision, we would be in a lot of trouble.
Hopefully over time we get clarity.
