It's a big company, but it's
not as strong as it was vis-a-vis all the other companies from 25 years ago till today.
Cisco was deemed the untouchable networking company.
It was.
It was, and Intel was deemed untouchable, right?
Yes.
And so a few big strategic mistakes and Intel is scrap.
So, and then you can always come up with reasons why this time it's different.
I don't believe it is.
Yeah, we've had these big companies have had great runs, but a new technology will come along and it will be important and new competitors will rise up and challenge these big guys.
You are right.
What that's going to be, of course, is if you got if you have the early lead on that, you'll make a lot of money.
And as a VC, I will tell you, market timing is such an enormous factor in your success.
You could have the right design, the right approach, but the timing just isn't there.
And so being wrong on timing is kind of the same as just being wrong about the idea.
Yes.
So quantum computing, I have no idea, no idea when that will become a commercially viable business.
When it does, obviously any alphanumeric based encryption method is going to have to change, right?
It's the reason I've never worried about that when it comes to crypto.
A lot of people worry that, well, what about when quantum computing allows these crypto... Financial system has gone to dust pretty much then.
