It felt like we hadn't quite settled back into life in London after Sweden and I was beating myself up about how little progress we'd made on the list, worrying about all the people on there, the ones left at least, and if it was even possible to stop whatever was going to happen to them and me.
All we had to go on was that terrible things were happening to all of those people, and one way or another, they were all ending up dead.
We still didn't know much about the Scion of the Other, or at least not as much as I'd like to, a cult of sorts from our brief time as their guests, obsessed with chains, bonds, and strange symbolism.
I was sure the list was theirs.
We'd found it in their temple.
But what were they doing?
And why?
Was it mindless violence as a result of their macabre brainwashing?
It felt too deliberate for that, too structured.
Some kind of initiation ceremony, perhaps.
I couldn't shake the feeling that this was all leading somewhere.
That something bigger was about to happen.
Harriet said we should have a day out to reset and refocus our minds.
A day just for us, to not worry about the list or the scion of the other or anything.

happened I guess as I said it was really more of a demand I promised I would avoid demon hunting for one day we settled on a day by the coast seaside fresh air fish and chips maybe some silly arcade games I'd been the one to suggest Folkestone I said I'd been here before which is true and that it was a nice town for a day out which is somewhat true I hadn't mentioned my other reason
