because really it became so patently obvious that the whole thing was set up.
It was horrendous because we'd encouraged, we had, we invented crowdsourcing because we had,
We did things like having, we dyed golden gloves and sold a million pairs of golden gloves for a dollar so that people would help clean up.
And the whole symbol was cleaning up Melbourne.
And, you know, so we did all kinds of fabulous things.
And we did great plans.
The council did great plans for Dockland, which would have been six story, you know, a village sort of low rise, like a Paris, you know, the heart of Paris.
All sorts of fantastic plans and things were done.
Everyone was behind us and everyone was backing us.
We had 30 or 32 facilities that were needed, unlike Sydney, that had to spend a lot of money to build all the new facilities.
And it became very clear that the people who should have been representing us and advocating for us were actually playing a big long-term game to get Sydney to win in any event.
Yeah, it was very frustrating.
Very disappointing.
And I was an idiot because I hadn't realised.
But how could I?
