It was the power of slapstick and absurdity and rule-breaking to create a joyful moment for the kids in the evening.
Chris, I think families up and down the country, I hope, will be reminded of the sort of value of doing something a bit weird or different or breaking the rules a bit or something like that, that those are the moments you really remember from your childhood.

Yeah, I was pleased with myself because I'd been a bit cranky and shoved in, you know, dinner was definitely fuel and just I was trying to keep everything together and stay organized.
But the hack is a delicious, nourishing and cleansing soup is human soup made in the bath.
Well, I remember that our dad used to let us make pizza, but he would take us to the shop and we could buy all the pizza toppings and pile them up like a mountain.
Yes, he was.
The pizzas were horrible, but he let us do it.
They were almost inedible.
But how do we, you know, 40-something years later, I still remember dad as the parent who let us make the pizzas.
The transgression is the exciting bit.
If you were made to have a bath in your clothes every day, you'd find it really annoying.
But the fact that you can't normally do that and it's sort of weird and transgressive, that's the exciting thing.
