Shorter, thanks for giving us this budget.

You do it every year.

I'm gonna start by by saying what I always say, how did we get here?

So in twenty nineteen when I got on this board.

Under the leadership of Corey Stewart at that time.

There was a resolution that was put forth to hold the data center tax uh at its current rate as it was and he had a well wanted to max it out in that first year.

So I was that outline vote that kept it down to where it was.

A couple of years later we were able to slowly start growing that.

uh growth of the data center revenue from the C and P tax.

I have been saying since twenty twenty.

Not now, not now, not now on lowering the residential tax.

But I will also say since twenty twenty, that tax was a dollar twenty and it has gone down every year since.

Uh so it has shown decrease, just not the amount that we uh

know our citizens want to see.

I'm proud to say and I will say this going f right now that this year my focus is on the citizens and I believe we have the revenue generated to really show the impact of what's significant

changes or decrease looks like for our citizens.

So I'm all in on lowering the tax for our residential taxes for our citizens.

same time I'm also

not interested at the time because I understand that's gonna be a significant cut out of the proposed budget that has been presented.
