So then that there lies the issue because the mail tax is not anything new really across the country and and podcast-host

Every city and town here has a mills tax. podcast-host

Um so we've just um you know, incorporated one into the county for more revenue and th thus this discussion. podcast-host

a credit card, then maybe there's some other conversation we need to be having as a board about the industry, uh you know, in the restaurant industry and what they're saying they're a actually being out cost on. podcast-host

So I don't know what that sounds like or looks like, but maybe that's a conversation. podcast-host

And I'm sorry, but to residents who consistently eat out, the intent was to bring podcast-host

through traffic that comes through this county and really have an anchor of s some form of entertainment that folks can actually visit. podcast-host

And we even as we talk about our graduations and podcast-host

four thirteen high schools of all of this going on, like these folks are going to Fairfax to do this now. podcast-host

And if there's anything I want, I want these citizens and graduations and grandparents and families to come here to Prince End County and spend their gas and their restaurants and their hotels and we get all that revenue here, which is the intent of that. podcast-host

So I I just want us to uh let's ground ourselves at zero of how we got to this meals tax and what that revenue has done. podcast-host

Oh, by the way, the schools get a split of that too. podcast-host

So I just want us to ground to what this is and then maybe if there's some issues that we need to figure out and work out that we can work away around that to help the industry or the restaurant industry on whatever their shortfalls are. podcast-host
