So we can talk about the cities and Fredericksburg and all the rest of them,
Reality is Prince William County, the OmniRide belongs to Prince William County.
Now, we can ask and get what we can from these other localities, and I think that's a valid question to see what their budgets look like.
And I will say to any of them, if they don't have a revenue generator in their county, they should look at what that may look like.
Not going to recommend any ideas, but there's a few out there that could work for them.
But that's the reality.
When it comes to the revenue shared agreement in our school system, the only question I have for our school system,
is what does that thriving system look like for the schools?
Because whatever that number is is what we can get to.
We just gave our schools a $1.1 billion increase this year.
Their budget is not going to come close to anything like that.
So the question is, what is that number that they need to be a world-class school system?
Because if we can meet that and still have revenue left over, then is that number of a 57.23 too high and does it come down?
Or is it too low and does it go up?
That's a question.
I think that's the conversation we need to have.
So no one's trying to disrupt or say that we're going to take from you.
The question is, how well are we doing today?
And if we're doing so well that we can give you a little less that we can use more, to Supervisor Gordy's point, then we have needs in the county that we really can address.
And I think that's what will make us world class.
