This is one of our kids.

And I think he's really gone off in a deep way, and he's done enormous harm to us.

But I suddenly felt protective toward him because we know what he's coming back into.

He is now the most hated person in the state of Israel.

There are people in this country who are literally

unhinged by the last three years.

And I'm reading responses by former hostages.

That worry me.

People are raging against this kid who has done enormous damage to us.

So I'm worried about two things.

I'm worried for his physical safety, because this is not the society that we hope for, where even extreme critics, even extreme deviants are exposed to violence.

So I'm worried for him and I'm worried for us.

I'm worried what this is bringing out in us.
