The nurses and physical therapists weren't really like there.

there to like coddle you it was more like we're here to do a job and if you don't want to do the job then like you can leave i'm like okay yeah i want to leave like obviously my parents and everyone was like not gonna let me do that i was there for about three months and that's where i stood for the first time i think maybe took like a couple small steps while i was there

And so that was something they finally diagnosed while I was at RIC.

It's a condition called Brown-Sequard.

So this... Not many people have this.

And if they do, they're usually like...

I don't know if it's more related to strokes, but they were never completely paralyzed from the neck down.

So what it is, my spinal cord is bruised on the right side.

So your spinal cord is crisscrossed.

So movement on my right side is mostly normal.

My left side, not at all.
