Like, I'm just going to go like find my own thing.
And they're like, okay, like I'm moving out with, he's moving out with, you know, Mike Scott, like,
like he'll be fine like they're not gonna like let him go off the rails and sure enough it was like a perfect situation like they were kind of like my guardian angels throughout like that whole process and they graduated that semester i had to stay another year but a couple of those guys also had to stay longer so i ended up getting close with them and you know they helped me
get over my painkiller addiction that semester, they, you know, would, like, encourage me, like,
even if it was like smoking pot instead, or I even started smoking cigarettes, it was like, and the feeling of cigarettes and Norco is an incredible feeling, but they were like, Hey, like, you know, instead of like taking a painkiller, like let's go out and like have a cigarette, like that, that pill will be there when you come back.
Like, like, okay.
And then after a while you just like, forget it.
Like, Oh, I forgot to take my pill.
Um,
It was that in combination with a lot of other people that helped me get through that addiction.
But ultimately, it was just one day.
Honestly, it was after that semester.
I was like, I'm done.
I can't do this anymore.
And I don't know what it was that motivated me to do that, but...
It just got exhausting after a while, waking up and relying on that to get me out of bed.
There's still plenty of other things I was addicted to, like Xanax that lasted a lot longer.
Pot obviously lasted up until very recently.
The cigarettes that stopped shortly after college, but it was kind of just like a revolving door of different substances that
I was using just to kind of live my life on a day-to-day basis rather than plan for the future, because that's kind of what my brain was trained to think for.
