But you have to think about the injury history with Darcy Kemper, right?
He's been here two years.
He's been hurt multiple times in both of those two years and he's thirty six years old.
I don't think it makes a ton of sense to be in a situation where you're one injury away from having to bring up a George or Slukinsky who is untested.
I think it's unfair to that player to be put in that position so early in their career.
So
As it sits right now, I I don't think Bortillo starts the year in the NHL, but obviously there's a couple of months still the season and that can always change.
Hundred percent.
And you're you're making good you don't want to give up on a portillo and
That you know, he's he's putting his time.
I think in a different scenario.
He's the guy that you say, okay, if we had maybe a more a younger, more established one A option, you could give Portillo a shot as the backup.
I just think in LA, I think it's a little bit more of a tandem.
You have both goaltenders thirty-three and above.
And just with Kemper's injury history.
I think it would just be too risky to rely on two 20 year olds as your only goalies in the AHL.
I think Portilto has value.
And, you know, I I think that it's important to keep all five of those guys playing.
And I only see the one solution to that at this time.
And obviously a trade or an injury shakes that up.
