it's a phenomenal fit and I mean I can speak a little bit more on the history and being coached by him and I think it speaks volumes that you have guys coming back like Freddie Anderson and Cappy and I played with those guys under Battenson and they had great experiences too obviously to willingly choose to come back and I think we've had a phenomenal free agency too with players choosing to come to Edmonton to try and win.

Yeah, I loved the emotion he showed.
He usually doesn't show much emotion when he scored, and then when he scored that tying goal, it was unbelievable.
I loved it.
Yeah, Darnell is an incredible person and player.
I got to know him really well over the five years we played together.
We trained together.
So I saw him the next day, obviously.
And he's just a phenomenal person.
And I think he's going to a great spot where he could really show what he can do and has a real opportunity to be the number one defenseman there.
yeah he's he's a game changer i mean you alluded to the world championships obviously that team wasn't the same uh and i saw a bunch of those guys over the weekend and they they said the same thing guys who are on other teams that team just wasn't the same when when he went down and they probably would have won gold if if he stayed healthy and i mean he's had an incredible year he should have been he should have he should have won the norris um let alone not getting uh in the top three was crazy to me but
He's an all-star, and the best part about it is he's young.
