He really is a game changer, and he's so underrated outside of our market.
I think fans in our market appreciate how good he is and how he elevates in the playoffs.
I mean, not many people can do what he does in the playoffs.
I think he's maybe second to Bobby Orr in points per game in the playoffs.
So, I mean, what more can you say?
No, I mean, you can even go, you know, you can ask Babs in my first year in Toronto.
Not many people thought I was an NHL player, but he did.
And I don't think anybody thought I would score 50 or 70, let alone in a year.
that's what happens if you just put your head down and you work and you don't look too far ahead you just focus on the next year little milestones just keep getting better and you play with pretty good players i mean i play with uh pretty good players here and and you gotta know where to be and and i'm fortunate to be able to figure that out over time

He wants to win more than anybody, and his whole family, Harrison included, always are looking to do what's in the best interest of the players and the Oilers.
So it starts from the top, obviously, and I think we have an incredible management team, obviously.
too with with jeff and stan leading the way and i think for the players um the coaching staff the coaches that were being interviewed wanted to to talk with the players obviously uh it's a big decision and and having played for babs i was familiar with him and and i think that interview process was
was really good.
It was really important for the players to the leadership group that were available to go and speak with him and to really understand what it was going to look like and understand where we want to go as a group of players, as a team, and what he can bring and how that would change and affect our locker room and how it would affect our on-ice play.
