Mm-hmm.
The the last thing I would add that was coming up for me while you were talking, and I and I feel like I've talked about this on on the podcast before, and I and I know it's something Ned Johnson and William Sticks read, they talk about this is where I've gotten it from, is from those guys.
Is
You know, when we when we look at the sort of components of what makes it safe to explore something, right?
Whether that's like a new practice or trying some activity or therapy or whatever the thing is, right?
Those guys talk about
Sort of the needs of competence, autonomy, and connectedness.
And how like those three things, depending on how they're being met or how much they're being compromised in sort of this offering for me, might really impact my level of sort of sense of safety and therefore ability to really explore this thing.
So again, if the thing that's being offered to me is something that
That I don't feel very competent in.
I kind of have no experience in it.
Maybe I've had experience and I haven't had success in it.
I don't feel very connected to it because again, it's part of what I see as like a lot of exertion.
And right now I'm fatigued and looking for ease.
Right.
So like maybe I'm not connected, or maybe it's just.
Literally not of interest to me, who knows?
Right.
And so sure, I might have the autonomy to choose to do it or not, but maybe these other parts are making it where, like, that's not enough for me, right?
Maybe I need more of that competence, or I need more of that, or maybe it's something where, again, I have a lot of competence around it, but I feel like I kind of have no autonomy.
