Yeah, absolutely.
I think Democrats feel they have a chance to flip Texas because, first of all, we think that nationally Democrats are going to be relatively successful this November.
And especially with Latino voters, which shifted so hard right in 2024, in polling crosstabs and special elections, even in the New Jersey gubernatorial election, which was high turnout, Hispanics have been shifting back hard towards the Democratic Party.
And then, yeah, as Kurt said too, Ken Paxton being on the ballot would change the dynamic as well.
Yeah, Ken Paxton definitely has a lot of scandals, right?
He was impeached by his own party in the State House of Representatives.
He narrowly avoided getting removed by Republicans in the Texas State Senate.
And I think money talks.
The National Republican Senate Committee has spent almost $100 million trying to beat Ken Paxton in the primary.
That's how scared they are of Paxton winning the primary.
They're willing to put in money to try to beat him.
