I have to take the Link now.

And the Link that I would take, which I'm surprising myself, would actually be the Twilight Princess Link.

And I think it's... For a few reasons, one of which is when Nintendo came around to making Twilight Princess, it was in reaction to Wind Waker.

They were like, oh my gosh...

Everyone hates the cartoon Link at this moment in time.

We need to go back to making a sequel to Ocarina of Time.

We want gritty.

We want, like, yeah, at this time, movie-like.

We're rough and tough heroes.

Link is, like, somewhere around, like, 17-ish, 18.

And it's, like... Emo Link.

Love and emo.

And is like this little farm boy who actually kind of lives, I think, technically on the outskirts of Hyrule and has never been to Hyrule proper and has this mentor who's a farmer and is like saying weird shit to him at a lake.

Like, don't you ever get somber when the sun goes down?

Yeah.

And you're like, who wrote this?

And then you get into the game and it takes hours and hours to finally get to Hyrule Castle Town.

And you realize that this Link is living in this collapsed kingdom.
