proactive quickly because right now it's slow due to one actor vetoing, right?

Because at the COREPER in the council there is uh still veto action or actionable on certain decisions and that blocks a lot of the time uh very important foreign policy issues.

So I would say that's the main policy that needs to be changed.

And then afterwards transparency and also um more uh human rights

rights um active, real human rights uh coherent um speeches would be more useful as well.

So yeah, that would be my take.

Um I I think this transition period sort of that we're going through with the fallout of international law and compliance with international law and compliance with the rules based order.

comes into play where basically we have two giants, sort of America, the US and China, um facing facing each other economically but also militarily in a certain way.

And the EU is sort of squished in between those two giants.

And instead of really seizing the occasion to be un united, unify behind the

This idea, we're a bit crumbling in the inside.

And this also goes back to what I was saying earlier.

It's essentially we don't have the tools as well to be that unified because the premises of the EU as a project, you know, there was a lot of controversial uh choices that were made that now leaves us in this situation where these type of events happened, we are left

like to fend for ourselves, right?

We can take COVID-19 as an example where every country was just like fighting each other countr each other country of the EU to good just get its medical supplies.

So there is a long way to go before we we do get this um sort of coherent foreign policy but also coherent uh compliance with international law.

Um and um you know it's also this transition period that you mentioned with the Gramsci quote as well, uh, which is a very good quote because um I think of the French Revolution directly as a French person.
