The only thing I would say in defense of that mom is, potentially, because I don't know her or their situation.

Sometimes when you don't have... Sometimes the parent can't afford some shit and they make it seem like it's a choice.

Sometimes when you don't have something, you make it look like it's a choice.

I didn't get you sneaks because you bad as shit as opposed to I didn't get you shit because I don't have it, because I'm on drugs, because I'm on all this other shit.

Without knowing that situation, I don't want to overjudge that parent.

But in general, I think just as parents, we should follow through on our word.
