Too big for any one person.
So the timing's great because it needed an infrastructure and a liberty to take it to the next level.
So it would have never got to where it was, but he almost made it too big for any one person, even though he was King Kong.
It took a little bit of time to get used to.
I'm fortunate it wasn't by design.
The first time I sold, I sold 70% of the company to a private equity group, Spire Capital Credit Suisse, and they were awesome.
And they helped me run the business.
They taught me a lot.
They gave me kind of a formal business education, but they let me run with it.
I remember an early incident, which was kind of like, hey, you don't own this company anymore.
I was traveling and we had some travel cases and a bag got lost or something.
I just went and grabbed one out of the back.
And then on my expense report, I owed for the bag.
And I was like...
You charged me for a bag?
And they're like, dude, it's not your bag.
You own 30% of the bag.
You don't own 100% of the bag.
And I was like, it's a fair point.
