I think it's more the fact that Keir Starmer's descent was so long in the making and so slow, right?

I mean, a year ago, people were talking about he's not going to be in office much longer.

It was widely whispered.

Everybody knew that that was the discussion that was happening on the backbenches.

And since then, it's just been death by a thousand cuts.

You know, he's had multiple backbench rebellions that he's really struggled to come back from.

How many resignations and firings has he had from his inner team?

His response to Israel and Gaza really lost him a lot of support in his party.

And then, of course, his handling of Mandelson and his handling of defence spending, all of these things.

Every time something happened, everyone was like, is he going to go now?

Is he going to go now?

So when he did announce he was going to go, everyone was like, OK, you know, finally.

So I think that the past couple of weeks have just been a kind of everyone already felt he was going.

So it hasn't felt like particularly monumentous.
